Gala Dinner Sambut Delegasi IAPF, Mbak Puan Ingin Forum Ini Jadi Babak Baru Hubungan RI-Afrika

Kota Semarang – Ketua DPR RI Puan Maharani, menyambut delegasi Indonesia-Africa Parliamentary Forum (IAPF) dengan jamuan makan malam atau gala dinner. Tidak sedikit yang mengatakan, bahwa Forum Parlemen Indonesia dengan negara-negara Afrika itu dinilai menjadi lembaran baru hubungan kedua belah pihak.

Terlebih, kehangatan hubungan ini karena DPR RI sebagai tuan rumah menjamu para delegasi dengan sambutan welcoming dinner di Hotel Grand Hyatt, Nusa Dua, Bali pada Sabtu (31/08/2024) malam. Di mana secara resmi forum IAPF dibuka pada esok harinya, yaitu Minggu (01/09/2024).

“Dengan jamuan makan malam ini saya berharap menjadi babak baru atau pembuka lembaran baru hubungan kerjasama Indonesia dengan negara-negara Afrika,” ujar Mbak Puan, sapaan akrabnya saat menyampaikan pidato dalam Gala Dinner.

Dengan tema ‘Memperkuat Kemitraan Parlemen Indonesia-Afrika untuk Pembangunan’ pada perhelatan IAPF, DPR ingin fokus membangun kemitraan antar Parlemen. Dengan begitu, kata Mbak Puan, akan semakin memperluas hubungan Indonesia dengan Afrika agar menjadi lebih inklusif.

“Kami merasa senang dapat berkumpul di Bali, sebuah pulau yang terkenal dengan keindahan alam dan kebudayaan Indonesia di mata internasional,” kata perempuan pertama yang menjabat Ketua DPR itu.

Dengan konsep taman di pinggir pantai Nusa Dua, susana Gala Dinner semakin meriah, namun hangat. Para delegasi pun tampak menikmati suasana malam Pulau Dewata sambil disuguhkan makanan tradisional dan pertunjukan budaya Indonesia.

“Di sinilah budaya tradisional berpadu dengan budaya modern. Persaudaraan dan solidaritas bangsa Asia dan Afrika telah dipupuk sejak Tahun 1995 saat Konferensi Asia Afrika (KAA) sekitar 69 tahun lalu,” ungkap cucu Presiden pertama RI Sukarno tersebut.

Jamuan makan malam atau welcoming dinner ini dihadiri oleh seluruh delegasi dari parlemen negara-nagara Afrika, antara lain: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Burundi, Djibouti, Eswatini, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, Tanzania,Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Libya, Mozambique, Somalia, South Africa.

“Saya mendoakan keberhasilan pertemuan besok dan persahabatan parlemen kita yang semakin kokoh,” sambung Mbak Puan.

Dalam acara ini, Mbak Puan sekaligus melakukan penandatanganan perangko Indonesia-Africa Parlementer Forum. FTT Indonesia-Afrika juga diselenggarakan bersamaan dengan Forum Tingkat Tinggi Kemitraan Multi-pihak (High-Level Forum on Multi Stakeholder Partnerships).

Sebagaimana diketahui, mereka adalah yang merupakan kerja sama antara Kementerian Luar Negeri dan Bappenas. Total peserta diperkirakan mencapai 1.500 delegasi dari negara-negara Afrika serta negara Global South lainnya.
